pre-season joys and frustrations

I played at Roselawn in Edina a couple of weeks ago with my wife hope. I was wearing boots, so I managed fairly well in the mud. She had a rougher time with her shoes though. It wasn't too cold. We rode our bikes there from home, but I think we still wore gloves because there was snow. I had to wipe our discs off every time before we threw. We only played the first five holes. I don't think that I was keeping score. Most of my drives were good, except for on hole 3, but approach shots and putting were annoying because it just got muddier as you got closer to the basket. It's hard to concentrate on the finess(?) of putting when you're in boots and gloves using a muddy disc on a slippery hill (reminds me of my honeymoon).
